Logistics team leader: what are you going to do?

As a logistics team leader, you are responsible for managing a team of logistics employees and order pickers in shifts. With the team you ensure an efficient and error-free execution of all logistics processes and activities that are involved with the (web) shop orders that the HC Group provides for its customers. This is sometimes referred to as fulfillment. You lead “your team” and are not afraid to roll up your sleeves if necessary to achieve the agreed targets. In this position you report to the Logistics Manager of the HC Group.

The activities and logistics processes relate to, among other things:

• Work preparation and distribution of work within the team;
• Guiding, training, instructing and motivating team members;
• Translating agreements with the Logistics Manager to the workplace;
• Organizing the inbound and outbound of goods, processing returns, etc.;
• Organization of storage and management, including order processing and replenishment of goods;
• Operation of forklift and/or reach truck;
• Operation of the WMS (Warehouse Management System);
• Organizing stock checks and settlement of details.

Who are you?

• You have experience in managing teams and you have a people- and results-oriented leadership style;
• You have a hands-on attitude, are accurate and stress resistant;
• You are no-nonsense and direct in your communication, but you always rely on your well-developed empathic capacity;
• You are creative and show initiative, including for improvement proposals;
• You work in a 2-shift system but are flexible if necessary;
• You ensure a pleasant working atmosphere in your team;
• You live a maximum of 25 km from Weert.
